Business Technology and Customer Service Professional

We are currently seeking a candidate with a broad array of experience in business, technology, and customer service areas.  The ideal candidate would possess all of the traits outlined below, but strong candidates with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment will also be strongly considered.

Day to day activities include responding to customer inquiries, generating quotes, working primarily inside of Excel, as well as dealing with everyday IT issues in conjunction with our long time outside IT provider.  Candidates will also be required to learn our ERP system (IQMS).  Strong candidates will have excellent communications skills and the ability to work with a team, but are also self-directed and are able to complete work with minimal supervision.

This position will ramp up in responsibilities quickly, and candidates should be seeking a career-level position that will evolve with them.  In turn, Makray Manufacturing provides a flexible work environment with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Data Entry Specialist

We are currently seeking a candidate with strong data entry skills.  The preferred candidate will also have experience or a background in the manufacturing environment, or is able to quickly come up to speed and understand manufacturing processes as it relates to inputting data into an ERP system.  Strong candidates will be able to type at least 60 words per minute without error, have experience in the full range of Microsoft Office Products, have specific experience with Microsoft Excel, and have experience in learning and using an ERP system.  Candidates who have experience with IQMS Manufacturing ERP are highly desired- though this is not required.

Day to day activities will include organizing and inputting data into excel and ERP system, checking data integrity and accuracy, bringing problems with data to management’s attention, applying necessary changes to data.  Candidates may also be asked to learn how to apply basic changes to company website by entering data such as job postings, updating pages, etc.  After major milestones are met with ERP system, candidates continued work will be to ensure data integrity by performing periodic maintenance on company data in ERP system by reviewing data and entering or correcting information.

Candidates will also need to have strong communication skills in order to work with management in relaying problems with data, data accuracy, and being able to communicate potential solutions to data related issues.

Maintenance [Plant/Machine]

  • Inspect for defective or malfunctioning equipment and repair or requisition outside contractor for repair
  • Check mechanical and hydraulic controls on presses and perform try tests on presses
  • Maintain water temperature controls and chillers
  • Check plant systems routinely; maintain and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Develop and perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment as indicated
  • Make minor repairs, fix leaks, broken wires, paint and perform carpentry work as needed
  • Communicate with all plant and office personnel regarding process improvements, problems, major renovations, and repairs needed, and other important information
  • Prepare/maintain all documentation associated with position of Maintenance Person
  • Follow all safety requirements including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout, emergency evacuation, and right to know
  • Reduce production costs by isolating and correcting problem areas, offering assistance in resolving production issues, working to improve job efficiency and improving uptime, etc.
  • Maintain clean and neat work area
  • Start up and shut down plant

Troubleshooter [Molding]

  • Check hydraulic and mechanical controls and safety controls on presses
  • Detect and report non-conforming material
  • Ensure proper drying conditions on mechanical drying equipment
  • Use computer system on presses to check parameters, set controls, enter production data, and record SPC
  • Perform trial run on job, inspect first piece and begin/monitor production run
  • Identify non-performance of press and determine course of action
  • Make adjustments to press as necessary to produce product according to or exceeding customer specifications
  • Communicate with all plant and office personnel regarding process improvements, problems, and other important information
  • Prepare/maintain all documentation associated with position of Troubleshooter
  • Follow all safety requirements including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout, emergency evacuation, and right to know
